If you have to close your store or reduce business hours for the holidays, here are a few things to take care of.
If you allow customers to pre-order, then you'll need to exclude your holiday dates from the list of available preorder dates. In NoshPos, you can add these dates in Admin > Settings > Shop > Delivery Timeslots > Exceptions . Enter every date of your holidays as an exception with the following format: "YYYY-MM-DD". As a result, customers can no longer choose these dates for delivery.
To close your store during the holidays you need to adjust your opening hours in Admin > Shops. Simply uncheck the weekdays you'll be closed. Keep in mind that you need to do this indivually for all your shops (if you have more than one).
To let your customers know about your holiday closure you can add a custom message to the header of your shop in Admin > Shops > Customize. The easiest option is to upload an image with the text editing tool. This will only affect our WeChat stores, not hosted websites.
If you are short on delivery staff and expect delivery delays, you can use the built in notification system. In your POS, click the green "Open" button in the top-right corner of the POS and change the status to either "Busy" - this will add a message to the header of your shop notifying customers of potential delivery delays. Or choose the "Over capacity" feature to temporily close your shop - with this, customers won't be able to place an order during this time.
If you stay open during the holidays and want to add a personal greeting to your customers in order confirmation emails, you can do this in Admin > Shop > Order Notifications > Order Confirmation. Either add a new type or edit one of the available options to change the text that gets sent to customers.
